Wafer Universe recently extended its product range for quartz wafers. Next to the existing Semiconductor Grade Quartz there are now High Purity Fused Silica wafers available from stock.
HP Fused Silica is an amorphous material with a very low metal contamination ( < 1 ppm). These wafers are also made for semiconductor applications, but also especially for optics where a high transmission for UV light (down to 200 nm wavelength) is required. This unique material offers outstanding chemical purity due to its synthetic manufacturing method and is virtually bubble and inclusion free.
Wafer Universe provides these wafers from 100mm up to 200mm diameter. The thickness range, depending on diameter, is between 525µm and 725µm. These wafers are available from stock with a lead time of less than one week.
